Space Pirate Invasion …

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

The Space Pirate Invasion on Louisville is well underway. The Space Pirates have been looking for treasure all over Louisville and inviting others to do the same…

Maybe you’ve seen them in the current Leo, the Courier Journal’s photo gallery or even around town…but Space Pirates have infiltrated the Louisville community and are inviting others to find the treasure buried under all the derby Hype.

Pick up a treasure map from Ear X Tacy, The Great Escape, Spinelli’s, Caufields, Wild and Wooley Video or an array of other locally owned businesses. Seek out the unique treasures that make Louisville a wonderfully diverse place. Participating in the treasure hunt grants you access to The Space Pirate Disco’s at Diamond Pub and Billiards on Derby Night or at Ear X Tacy May 2 from 4 – 6 pm and makes you eligible for a nice variety of awesome prizes from local artists, musicians and businesses, including the Grand Prize: an overnight stay at the beautiful and historic Inn at Woodhaven.

The Space Pirate Disco’s are not to be missed. Performances from indie space band CHAPPO, local party punk band the Revenge of Ricky Williams, and Pop performance by Divinity Rose and her dancing first mates. For more information visit, http://www.louisvillesubrosa.info

Here are some great photos  to check out :D Hope you enjoy them

Check out this great Photo Gallery on FLikR by Chris Rachel Oseland of Palmyran REbels

(In other news, I’m pretty much out of copies of Diaries of a Godling: The Promise- thanks so much for helping me to sell out of the first run! There are still just a few copies at Ear X Tacy, the Great Escape and Izzy’s Little Creepers.  I’ve also been asked to perform at Fright Night Film Festival and Convention – I can’t wait!)

Before I set sail, I’d like to encourage each of you to hunt out the unique treasures around you that will lift you up and feed your soul….The things that will bring you the most joy are often right beside you or within reach…you  just have to decide to seek them out :D

And help our community of supporting original art, music and locally owned business to grow by tweeting, sharing this on facebook, myspace, anyway you connect to your friends :D Thanks so much for all of your love and support!!

ARGH: Prepare to Be Boarded

Monday, April 12th, 2010

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post a newsletter, but it’s for good cause! I’ve been busy preparing a space pirate invasion!

Now that my first book has been released, I’ll be renovating DivinityRose.com and the site for the book to better invite you into my world.  Get ready for exciting new videos,   photo shoots,   live performances and appearances.

“At the core of our written universe, there is an infinite sea of ink where a spirit Rose to solidify itself, creating many worlds and beings through out space-time. Finding itself lost in its own stories,  a journey home began.  Upon returning home, a new story arose.  The quest: to find the lost parts of herself that had been scattered across the many stories, calling them to remember their proud birthright and to wield their pens of destiny. Awakened from the dead, Divinity Rose.” – From my forthcoming home page.

So, I’ll be manifesting in Louisville, Kentucky for the Derby Festivities beginning this Saturday at one of the most awesome fireworks shows ever – Thunder Over Louisville! I’ll be rising from the ink along with my first Mate Chris-Rachel Oseland of Palmyran Rebels as space pirates to invade anywhere there’s fun to be had!  X marks the spot Derby Night when I’ll be making a pop debut with my space pirate dancers. Other awesome entertianment that night includes Revenge of Ricky Williams and Chappo! Tons of prizes, too!

Check out all the information and how you can join us as space pirates at http://www.lousvillesubrosa.info

In my world, everything rises from the ink..ink is malleable, and if we remember that – we can remember that we are responsible for directing the movement of the ink  as we write our own stories – Check out this awesome video about how malleable information really is.

Love, light and blessings to send you through your dream!!

Please spread the word with a tweet tweet or on FB, Dig, wherever you share your findings :D

Thanks!

Experimental film -ups and downs but no stopping now!

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

The last week has been an interesting one.  It’s been crazy busy with  lots of ups and downs.

First, let us go up, shall we?

I was able to shoot an experimental film with a friend for my poem “Keys to Broken Dreams” – it was a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Donavan is a wrestler, and he  was great to work with.   We shot at the waterfront park  near the Tumbleweed.

Donavan was a really good sport. The set up for this scene really took a lot of patience from him just laying there as we set up everything around him.

Cody was my assistant, and he did a great job.

My pal Norm (from last week’s video) was kind enough to let us use his apartment and mirrors for this  scene.

Now, everybody hold your hands up and scream as we take the roller coaster downward!

The brakes went out on my RV. I haven’t been able to drive it and won’t until they are fixed. My super mechanic has been too busy to be able to look at it.

Now lean back as we head up again: I have a friend coming to look at the brakes . In the meantime, I’ve been busy planning and have completed the cast and crew for an upcoming Doomsday Lover video to be shot next month. Oh yeah! Be prepared to be amazed.

image2And back down again: Due to the brakes being out and other circumstances, Cody and I missed Thunder over Louisville this year.

If you aren’t familiar with the term, it is the huge air and fireworks show that kicks off two weeks of Derby festivities every year. 7-800,ooo people turn out for it.

The fireworks last for half an hour, and the show is the largest in North America. Here’s just a small clip shot by my friend Anna A.K.A. Super Geek ( ohhh, she’s a super geek, super geek, she’s super geeky):

upside: To make up for it, we made our own personal thunder.

And terrifyingly downward: I was working yesterday on the computer when I heard Cody screaming outside like he was being attacked…I thought for sure a dog was mauling him. I ran outside to see what was going on, and I couldn’t find him anywhere… I yelled for him a couple times… Turns out he had taken his dog next door into the neighbors yard where Chase found a small kitten and picked it up in his mouth before taking off with it. Thankfully, the kitten was fine – just really pissed off…and with good reason.

Sooo, in the ups and downs where are you? Are you enjoying the ride? Where do you keep your focus? On the ups? On the downs? Or do you run around in a tshirt that says “bissfully unaware”?

SPILL IT! (and then click the share button below :) )
