Divinity Rising: All Part of the Show
It’s soul food from a showgirl!
Divinity Rising began in 2007 as a weekly newsletter by Divinity Rose that covers spiritual understandings as Divinity rises within us, pushing us towards becoming the beautiful dream we are. Her weekly inspiration has been moved to the Diaries of a Godling blog, and arts opportunities for others posted to the Louisville Speak Easy blog.
This blog is now being used primarily for news and updates about Divinity Rose, Dreamer With an Ink Fetish and Showgirl of Soul.
Dreamer With An Ink Fetish
“Magic is freeing what’s held within, instead of a wand, I wield my pen”
Divinity Rose shares inspiration, poetry, videos and entertainment for the Spiritually aroused at Diaries of a Godling blog. In addition to that, she is in development of her graphic novel and web video series Diaries of a Godling.
“I am so in love with you!!! Thank you for a post that just had chills going up my back – clearly I needed to read this one!Have a marvellous, fantastic and loving day! hugs. -Rina, Australia….”
“ I am thankful for your words… You have given me peace in many stormy moments in the past few months. I want you to be aware that your gift is not unseen in the chaos around you. Your words give me pause. Thank you.. … Tom, Louisville”
“You consistently are up there with the great inspirations. It is a pleasure to be in the same world. Peace, Laurie, Boston, Massachusetts”
“I had to let you know how touched I was by your recent email “You’re Not Alone”. It came at a good time. The only thing that makes life bearable I believe is the fact that we are not alone. That no one has to suffer the fate of enduring a heartbreak alone, of loss alone, of grief alone, of even joy and happiness alone. I can relate so well to much of what you have shared about yourself, your inner feelings, battles, and introspection. Nick, Nashville”
Instead of the burden of what-I’m-not-doing, I have a clearer focus on what I need to do, and what actually is the bliss I’m seeking. And though the process was painful, knowing without a doubt what needed to be done is quite refreshing. And through the process, things you’ve written kept coming up to me. They gave me comfort. They were things that I already knew, but somehow forgot.… - J.B., Indiana
Showgirl of Soul
“I am a lover, a dreamer,A heart with wings
Who loves to observe and bless living things…”
“This Soul before you Is My Show.”
Divinity Rose merges her performing and writing with guitar accomplice Tony Minzenberger in the two man band, Doomsday Lover.
She also performs in film, on stage, and hosts The Louisville Speak Easy in Louisville, Ky. Merging her desire to perform with her desire to touch the hearts and minds of others, she speaks to college classes and other groups to encourage them to free their dream and follow their deepest passion.
Her performing is a bizarre and endearing mixture of humor, song, speaking, inspiration and deep thought.
” It is rare that you meet someone who is as inspirational as Divinity Rose. Someone who will reiterate to you that as a human, you have the ability to change yourself and the situation you are in… In listening to her speak, I really was given a different way to think about my life.”
“This gal has a fantastic outlook on life. She is quite the motivational speaker and song writer. I truly was refreshed by her warm and friendly presence. She greeted me with a genuine smile and throughout the night, she mesmerized me. I thought it was wonderful how she was able to cater to a bunch of strangers and make us laugh and feel so comfortable. “
“I had the honor to witness a woman by the name of Divinity Rose sing and bless my writing class with her kind words. All I could think was ‘this is amazing’.”
“Through her songs and listening to her talk, she really inspired me to keep going in life. She reminded me that dreams are really something important, even if no one else can understand why you dream that certain dream.”
-quotes from students at Jefferson Community College
“It is amazing how you command attention in the room and pour your energy into everyone around you.”
“I can’t be around you and not be happy.”
