The need for silence: so true! But as I've read and re-read this I've thought about how, over the last couple of years my choices have led me *away* from silence and towards greater noise and all of the while I've been telling myself that it's important or necessary for me to make those choices. In the end, perhaps our egos are the things that need the most shushing. If we can learn to keep that side of our selves to a quiet murmur then we might actually find ourselves in the silence, and from there learn the lessons that we need to learn.

It's so difficult to escape and find that quiet time, especially when living with other people who don't seem to be comfortable with any length of time at all in quiet stillness. Some people just identify with their negative conditioning and fight against anything other than what someone else told them was true. Personally, I find what quiet time I can and enjoy it. Even though I maintain a mostly positive outlook, I still struggle sometimes when I find evidence that I am "shining beautiful and magnificent", but still don't quite find the kind of evidence I'm looking for. However, Seeing Any Thing As Negative only speaks in lies.

So true, Jake :) We become what we fill ourselves with, so it is so important to take some time to be aware of what we are filling ourselves with! And taking time to interact with those around us can certainly improve our relationships!

wooo, this is deep haha.. I'm guilty of not taking ENOUGH time for me.. to just think, meditate etc...

With our schedule, Misty and I at least try to sit and be together a few minutes during the week to talk with no TV or anything.. it does make a difference!

For ME.. Every morning I do try and get a dose of something to encourage me and make me think!

But all of us definitely need to step away from technology more, and get back to "ourselves"!
