The Trail…

What is Diaries of a Godling? It’s a trail…a map of my journeys. As a godling - half spirit, half flesh, I spent a good portion of my life trying to figure out just what I was..and why I was different…

Something happened a few years ago…I died…I was cut so deep that I bled out, leaving a trail in ink all over my journals as I wandered the Underworld.

So, the series Diaries of a Godling is a story…my story….a story of life, death, resurrection and creation told through pieces here and there from my life, my death, my journals, and the things that I’ve become ….and the things that I’ve released to exist elsewhere….and You…you are a big part of this story.

This poem is what starts the series, and as a video was just made with a snippet from it, I figured I’d go ahead and share it with you.

Magic is freeing what’s held within.

Instead of a wand, I wield my pen

To open minds and more so your heart.

Breaking your seals is my favorite art.

A calling in youth bestowed upon me

To learn and write on how to be free

I’ve walked for ages upon this earth,

a bold and brazen warrior since birth.

But chaos and pain are not a warriors alm,

Instead, it’s the strength of inner calm.

The words I choose cut through the smut

Opening doors that others have shut.

My light pierces the dark abyss that we travel

My small bare feet are scarred from the gravel

Because in order to share this wisdom with yo u

I had to feel the fall from grace, too.

So, while I daily open my channels,

Realize I had to find my own handles

to claw my way from being most dead

And to let my will fly straight on ahead.

Although I shone brightly, the shadows still cloaked me

Until I remembered what it really meant to be free.

And for those truly seeking, I’ll tell you how.

To those, I say “See me…See me NOW”.

I ripped my heart open with a smoldering blade

Dropping pieces of me while other kids played.

Just follow that trail that I’ve left in bled ink

Whenever you feel your heart start to sink.

For you have chosen to be blessed with these words

and rise above the labrynth like birds.

Throw back the curtains, break down the boards,

And learn to hear the magical chords.

Then live your story, and live it well

Teaching others to break from their shell.

I’ve anointed you with sacred ink today.

You’ll leave another trail along your way

perhaps found by me when I return

To find the things You’ve helped me learn.

For it’s observation of you and how life reacts

That’s allowed me to know more than bird and bee facts.

So marvel at the magnificent way this ink has congealed

The most powerful magic of love mine to know and to wield.
